        The Longest Day - a great movie

        I had heard about this movie for many years but I didn't have the movie and had never seen it. In it each country speaks in their native language many screens have sub titles so you know what they are saying. Some of the subtitles blend into the background, I couldn't read them fast enough. I've started watching it for the 3rd time and pausing it to read the subtitles. I am enjoying this movie greatly and will recommend it to others

        A decent value but edited version

        Product was delivered promptly. Good quality picture. It seems however that this was a bootleg copy of the movie. The scene where the soldier played by Red Buttons landed on the church and the bells were ringing only lasted briefly. In the original movie it went back to that scene several times. In this copy, it only went back once. That was near the end of the movie where the soldier was deaf from listening to the bells for 10 hours. There was no connection from the earlier scene herein described until the latter scene where the soldier was deaf. I believe this is an edited bootleg copy of the movie.

        Great entertaining portrayal of a historical event.

        Probably one of the best WW2 movies. While not totally accurate, it is extremely entertaining. After all we don't go to movies to see the truth, we go to be entertained. If some elements of truth are portrayed along with the emotional entertainment, more the better. Highly recommended. I think this is the first war movie where the Germans speak their native language with subtitles. It works.
