Hard to tell at first blush but I think it is a winner.
In truth, nobody cares that a water filter in a refrigerator is actually filtering water. The important thing is to get the "Replace Filter" light to go out. I installed the filter and was able to reset the filter alert. It fits the reefer perfectly and doesn't leak. I costs about one fifth as much as other filters. It has already lasted long enough to pay for itself. I wish it would make the water taste like beer. In truth, nobody cares that a water filter in a refrigerator is actually filtering water. I feel the quality of the filter is lacking. This is the first time I have ever purchased these filters. I bought a 3 pack , and the very first one I installed leaked all over inside my Brand new refrigerator. I didn't notice it until the next morning so there was quite a bit of water to deal with. I pulled it back out and noticed that the inner section where the smaller o-ring seals was actually square looking, causing the o-ring not to seat properly. I opened the other two filters and they also had a square look to them. Also, the 3rd filter was only wrapped in plastic and did Not have a paper seal on it like the first 2 did ... and the plastic wrap was open on the inlet side exposing the sterile side of the filter. In the past all the other filters I bought had to be purged to remove the charcoal from the filter. I definitely Will Not be buying these filters ever again. Filter too restrictive
This was the same make and model filter that came with my Whirlpool refrigerator, so I thought it was a direct replacement. The original filter that came with the refrigerator was several years old, so I thought it was time to replace it. I bought two of these filters. Neither one would work, the filters are too restrictive, and created back pressure that resulted in the refrigerator water valve making a loud jack hammering noise! When I installed the bypass plug into the filter port, no more jack hammering sound, so I know the issue was due to the filters. These are made in China, which may be why they are poor quality.This was the same make and model filter that came with my Whirlpool refrigerator, so I thought it was a direct replacement. I inherited this beautiful, high end refrigerator when I moved in, but anything to do with it costs an arm and a leg. The water filter costs $50.00 plus shipping, and that's just for one! This was a great deal - perfectly compatible with my refrigerator, and two filters for far less than the brand name version price of one. You can't beat that!

Not sure if this product works.
I put this filter in my Kenmore fridge but I am not sure if it is actually working because it never tripped or re-set the filter light. My red light is still lit indicating I should replace my filter with a new one. I would not say if it is a good or bad product, I am just not sure if it is actually working.
