    Reliable

    This timer operates our 2HP Pool Pump. It is an exact match to the previous timer which lasted 26 years ! The features of the old vs. the new timer are exactly the same. No design or construction changes at all. That is exceptional as compared to products these days that "cheapen" over time both in design and quality to save a buck. Way to go Intermatic !

    Previous unit lasted 8 months

    I purchased another unit to replace a previous unit that only lasted 8 months. I only used the guts on this go around because if the easy change out. I have read on other reviews that quality has deteriorated significantly over the last couple of years. Hopefully, the manufacturer will heed conplaints. If this timer fails, I will not buy another.

    Excellent Pool Timer

    The Intermatic T104R 24HR Dial Time Switch DPST Rainproof Enclosure is the perfect product to replace your existing 220V pool timer. My old timer was the same brand but with a plastic enclosure. The hinges had completely broken off leaving the door secured only by the closure catch. All that was necessary to replace it with this timer was to drill one hole through the back of the case to perfectly match the existing mounting bolts. This was inmportant as my timer is mounted on a brick wall. The timer works perfectly.

    Intermatic T104 - hasn’t changed in 50 years

    Intermatic is pretty much the standard brand used for swimming pool equipment. Be sure to label the wiring from the one you are replacing, as well as making sure the power is off. Installation shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.

    weak motor assy design.

    The timer is a design problem, the sellers were great to work with. I would buy from them again. The timer uses an electric motor, a long gear chain of plastic/nylon gears. The plastic gears will lose a tooth and pause at that time. Over the past 6 months I have replaces the motor 3 times. This time I bought the new timer assembly (box and all) and canabilize the inner plate. I could find no directions about servicing the gears. I was tempted to use white lithium grease but didn't. The next step up is an electronic unit that costs over $250.
