    I Can Hear My Vinyl Again!

    Like many others, I have a receiver and I picked up a turntable at the thrift store, but I couldn't get noise out of it and thought it didn't work. I didn't know until recently that the receivers from my youth had phono preamps built into them. Fast forward to now and the Pyle preamp solved the problem! It is really small, hiding easily behind my receiver. It doesn't have a power switch, but if your receiver has plugs in the back that power on and off with the unit, then there's no worries. Otherwise a person could pull the power plug if they're concerned. To be honest, the preamp isn't as loud as I hoped, but it is so much better than no sound at all. I have to turn the volume knob up a bit compared to the radio, but the sound quality is very good. I recommend!

    Amplify? Not a Chance. Terrible Product.

    I used it with two different turntables, and two different receivers. It did not work at all with one pairing, and when it did work with the second pairing it barely produced enough power to amplify sound. And as for the sound, it was muddled. sounding like the speakers were under water, and not worth listening to in the least. After this experience, I'm wondering how this item works well enough with any other equipment to justify its purchase.

    Brings a turntable back to life

    My Technics SL-220 has been sitting for years because my Yamaha Amplified didn't have a turntable input. The PP999 did the trick perfectly. The SL-220 now plugs into the Amp's VCR input and sounds great. There doesn't seem to be any signal loss. I'm not an audiophile, but I know what sounds good. My record collection has been resurrected along with my turntable and I couldn't be happier.

    Perfect for anyone

    I needed a good preamp for a Onkyo turntable I recently acquired and this was just right , does just what it says and doesn't break the bank ! Perfect , Easy set up and install , I uses mine to hook up to a soundbar and the sound quality if much better than with my previous USB table , just ran off its internal preamp , of course the table I am currently using also has a much better cartridge and stylus, point is the product gets the job done wonderfully and could not beat the price , highly recommend if your looking for a preamp that won't break the bank !

    Brings old turntable back to life

    The receiver I bought didn't have a phono input and the level out of my 40 year old turntable was way too low to hear through it. This little pre amp raises the level enough that I can use the audio inputs to use my turntable. It also provides a ground connector the significantly reduces hum. The records sound great.
