        Works well for streaming...so long as your phone and it can connect to your WiFi

        Very easy setup (typical, thanks to Google). The power cord is sufficiently long enough to plug into an outlet while the HDMI connection is on the other side of a 50" television! Thank you! The only thing is that the WiFi range is limited, so make sure that it is connected to your WiFi. The same goes for your phone too. If your phone can stream (e.g., use YouTube, Peacock, AmazonPrime, etc.) with your phone, then this device allows you to stream it from your phone to your connected television. No need for any additional subscription costs. LOVE IT!

        Not as convenient as a Smart TV

        -Phone required to watch Netflix or You Tube, too much strain on the battery. - Picks up too much interference. -Drops out for no apparent reason. -Have to turn on TV, Turn on Phone, cast signal and then select what ever app you want to use.

        Reset button on chromecast device

        Once set up it works as promised. There were minimal directions that came with the unit. You need to use goggle home to complete setup. No where does it tell you to use the small button on the side of the unit to reset it after you make all the connections. This reset is necessary or you will never be able to use it. Nothing is included that identifies that button. I got lucky and found it after 1 hour of frustration. Once I pushed the reset button everything worked.
