    Properly cooked waffles at last!

    I have been developing and tweaking a waffle recipe for many years. I have had several waffle makers during that time, and although I liked the result from them, I always felt it could be better. The results were delicious but never quite crispy enough on the outside unless cooked to the point of charring, and always too moist on the inside. The resulting waffles were quite thin. I understand that my recipe results in a batter that is very difficult to cook properly. The Breville smart waffle maker meets and exceeds the challenge my recipe poses. The waffles are not overcooked, they are crispy and fluffy with a slightly moist center, and they are about twice as thick as any I have ever been able to make. I think the secret is that the heating coils are embedded in the waffle plates. ...
