    Sega's Sonic-themed racing series returns with a futuristic twist on the high-speed action: gravity-defying hover boards and other flying vehicles. Characters can now turn walls into tracks, conjure up speed-altering black holes, and create shortcuts by altering the world's physics with a single button press. Sixteen courses are available in total, ranging from a densely populated metropolis to a remote destination in outer space. <br><br>While each course offers a number of areas to perform tricks, players will also be able to initiate loop-de-loops, vertical dives, and other techniques with their choice of 60 vehicles. Vessels can be upgraded over time and even swapped in mid-race to access new areas in each zero gravity course. Eighteen colorful characters from previous Sonic titles are included in a choice of three play modes: Free Race, World Grand Prix, and Survival.

      What an amazing game. The main complaint of this game is the controls, I fail to see the issue since it's mainly three buttons (D-pad to move, 2 to jump, 1 for gravity shift.) And there is always the option to use a GameCube controller if you have one. There are 16 tracks, two stories in story mode, free race, grand prix, survival mode, party mode, 21 characters, three character types (Speed, Power and Flight.), 61 vehicles and six vehicle types (Boards, Bikes, Skates, Wheels, Yacht and Air Ride.) All vehicles have their own gears. Gears are upgrades you receive for collecting a specific amount of rings. (Example: 40 rings to unlock rail grinding ability or 70 rings to turn your board into a bike, etc.) Each of the three characters types change how the game is played; Speed is obviously ...

      It’s good but difficult for novices

      The title of this review is pretty self explanatory however I do want to add more to it here. Graphics are great, the story and gameplay are compelling, and it’s overall what I expected after my experience with the original sonic riders game. However this one is difficult for novice players and even I struggled with the controls. It’s super challenging and overly competitive even in story mode. It has high expectations and would only recommend to experienced players due to the difficulty.

      Play for the aesthetic and charcters, not for deep gameplay

      I really love the design of the environments and technology; it is unique and very appealing. The music and visuals often have a heavier atmosphere that you might expect. The voice overs for the characters in-game are really great and convey loads of personality. Cutscene acting isn't great, though. You can tell the gameplay directors were stronger than the cinematic directors. Speaking of that, the animations of the characters during gameplay are also very fluid and attractive, and *also* convey each character's personality very well. If you happen to be a fan of the cast of characters, the game is fun to play just for them alone. The gameplay itself is rather simplistic. It isn't incredibly strong on its own, though it's inoffensive and really only becomes boring after slightly ...

      Fun but challenging

      Find this game fun to play, however it is challenging. Took a while to figure out how to control the players and movements but once I got that I couldn't stop playing. It's also nice you can have more than one player racing each other.
