    I ALMOST gave this 5 stars. I'd probably give it 4.75 stars, if there was an option for that. The lid fits very good, but I was a little disappointed with the texture of the cooking surface. It wasn't real bad, but it was rougher than other cast iron that I use regularly. If it wasn't for that, I would definitely give it 5 stars. For the quality and price, this is still a great value. Being pre-seasoned is a big plus. This little pot is great for the stove top, oven, or the Coleman camp stove.

    We have not tried the dutch oven but we have other iron pans they all are good to cook with but heavy.

    This one was preseason but all iron pans need season before using and every so often cause of use. This keep the iron pan from rusting and food from sticking as much as possible. Lodge has been known for there good quality for years.

    Good quality Cast Iron

    I am very pleased with my Lodge Cast Iron Pot. It is well made and smooth. I have purchased one from another company and I am not as happy with that one as I am the Lodge. Highly reccomend.

    Go-to utensil!

    Quality construction and finish. Have a 5 quart Ozark Trail Dutch Oven of much lesser quality for outdoor use over open fire, but use Lodge full time indoors!
