Seu Jorge has appeared in many film's including the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. In that movie he appeared as a sailor strumming bossa nova-flavored versions of David Bowie songs in Portuguese. A handful of those songs appeared on the soundtrack to the film but now the entire recording is being made available.

    Very Unique, Interesting Album!

    Whether you like Seu Jorge, David Bowie, or just enjoy great music this is the album for you! Seu Jorge recorded a collection of David Bowie songs in Portuguese for the movie The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, directed by Wes Anderson. And even if you don't speak Portuguese this is a very enjoyable album, it's really nice to simply enjoy and appreciate the music (although, I now find myself singing along in a language I don't even know!). Classic rock lovers would just love this album, as it feels like traditional Bowie with a wonderful, ethnic twist. It's intriguing and the truly enjoyable, some songs being relaxing, others pushing you to rock out. The album includes covers of some of our favorite David Bowie songs, like Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Rebel Rebel, and Life on Mars?. If you ...

    Any major dude would tell you- Even Bowie Liked it

    I've liked this version of Bowie songs since I watched the cult classic, "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". Seu Jorge is an excellent singer and musician and a great change of pace for any Bowie Fan or just music fan in general. After watching the film many times, I have found it interesting to compare Seu to David. I also have found Seu Jorge material on Netflix and other sources and he proved to be excellent with an entirely different playlist. If you get a chance and dig good tunes, find his "Live at the Montreaux" video. BTW in places where they speak portugese he is a superstar, and if you hear him it woulld be no surprise.     This CD is amazing.

    I love this CD. As a Bowie fan, it's amazing to hear his songs in a new light, and a beautiful language by a great artist.

    FAVORITE

    BEST CD EVER... For the people that like Seu Jorge that's one of his great cds... He is amazing. I bought it for my boyfriend and he listen to it all the time. It was a great gift!!
