The item exceeded my expectations. I did not realize how many different albums were contained in the set. I was pleased that none of them contained the song "Centerfold" which is the only J.Geils Band song that I absolutely detest. It's a stupid premise designed for adolescent boys and got waaay too much airplay. It was shipped really quickly too.

    J. Geils by M. Giles

    I started getting into the J. Geils Band during high school. Someone asked me if I was related to him (his last name is pronounced with a hard "G" mine with a soft "G"). The rest of my time in high school then college my nickname was "J" After the initial question asking me if I was related to him I made it a point to find out more about his music. Turns out I love it! This is some of his early work pre Love Stinks. It is similar to a local Pittsburgh band called The Iron City House Rockers. Having seen J. Geils Band in concert in Pittsburgh made me a even bigger fan. J is a great guitar player and Peter Wolf a great front man. I must admit I like his newer material better (Love Stinks), (Freeze Frame) but this is still good material. For the price you can't go wrong.

    This is an awesome deal especially since I never heard there earlier albums they really were a great party band and now I can hear where the fools also got some of the influence from everybody keep on rockin and enjoy this!

    Nice set for the J. GEILS Band.

    Their first 5 albums. With the digipak set they don't take up much more space than a single CD in a regular CD case. I saw them at Winterland in San Francisc back in the '70s.
