Great Preamp
Every bass should come with this preamp. The controls are perfect; volume, pickup balance, and stacked bass/treble controls. Plus, pull the volume knob up and you get a slap contour...simply amazing variety of setting right from the bass. Mine is driving a PJ set of pickups, but I think it will work with any passive set. The small circuit board should fit in your cavity, but you'll need space for a 9v battery; I had to rout a spot for the battery holder. I believed most musician knows about Seymour Duncan product either pickups or preamp in the market.They been there for decades and recognized worldwide.Thus this STC 2band preamp is great and usable in any basses.But 0nly thing is up to individual kind of preferences. Boost your tone - control your tone
Upgraded a Yamaha RBX170 with SD Quarter Pound P-J set, KSM bridge, and GOTO tuners. Added the STC-2P circuit and now have the tone you'd expect from a $2500 bass guitar from a $200 guitar. You won't be disappointed. Easy to install, small size, less than half a dozen solder points, crystal clear tone.

Will absolutely make your bass sound better!
Fantastic way to boost you passive bass. The slap switch is like turning on a tube amp and can be adjusted to taste. Cons: finish on the knobs is flat and dry feeling and the circut board is quite large. I had to do some routing to make room for the circut board and a 9v battery. Was worth the work a my 5 string pbass is now a tone beast!
