    DR Hi-Beams 125-45 stainless steel / round core

    These strings sound full, balanced, powerful, and has excellent tone. Finger, funk, pick, slap... everything!! If you use the common $15 brand, you owe yourself to try these for a month. You will be impressed.

    I wouldn't buy it again

    I play the bass 13 years now. I bought these strings for the first time ever to test them. I can say that they sound good, although I find them a little bit "rough" - at least for my fingers. Furthermore, it's my first-ever set of DR strings, and when I installed them on my bass, the G string BROKE while I was pitching it. Maybe it was just ONE defective string (this happens with materials), but it all made a bad picture for me. I don't think I would buy them again.

    Consistently the best...

    ...for what I'm looking for. The gauges are perfectly balanced, the string tension is forgiving enough for me to dig in the way I like to, and the tone matches what I'm hearing in my head. No other set has been able to impress me enough to switch.
