The Samsung HD103UJ is an internal hard drive with 1 TB of memory, providing additional storage space for compatible computers. Extra storage capacity is the main focus of this Samsung 1 TB Hard Drive, not only an expansion, but a true upgrade to many PCs. Adding speed to capacity, the Samsung HD103UJ has an average seek time of 8.9 ms and average latency of 4.17 ms. Data transfer rates are quick, with media to/from buffer maximum rates of 175 MBps and buffer to/from host maximum rates of 300 MBps. There is a typical drive ready time of 12 seconds. Along with the NoiseGuard feature, the SilentSeek technology on the Samsung 1 TB Hard Drive reduces noisy operation. There are also several safeguards in place to protect the internal hard drive from damage, including a rotational vibration sensor, intelligent external disturbance compensation, and over temperature write protection. This Samsung 1 TB Hard Drive measures 14.7 cm by 10.2 cm by 0.3 cm (5.8 inches by 4 inches by 0.1 inch), and it weighs 650 grams (22.9 ounces).

    A great reliable and seemingly bullet proof Hard drive

    Bought one of these second hand and even though it arrived in a thin jiffy bag and dumped through my postbox onto a hard slate floor.....it's excellent. A great buy if you can get one that's not been thrashed and works extremely well in a HDD Docking station to use for media players or to connect to the usb port of your tv to paly films etc.

    Amazing for the money and very reliable product

    amazing for the money you spend good spin point on in and the benchmark is pretty good at 5.9 which is awesome for me and the memory is amazing 1tb!
