Great Video For Mind and Body
I have been doing yoga for a couple of years and used this one when I first started. I have since moved on to more challenging videos but my husband recently asked if he could practice with me. I needed to get a good beginner vid and I remembered this one. The setting is beautiful, filmed at White Sands in New Mexico. There are a number of other yogis in the video all doing different variations of the moves. Ali MaGraw is of course the one that the camera lingers on the longest. She is good but not so intimidating that you think you will never be like her. The pacing is enough to keep you going and the routine is a general standing pose, reclining pose, leg stretch, shavasana. The thing that this video really has going for it is the yoga master Eric Schiffmann. It is his voice that guides ... His voice is so calming and his instruction while not being overly detailed gives you enough to get into the pose and somehow is very inspiring. His body is also not the usual you see in these videos. He is round without alot of muscle definition. Yet he is VERY open and flexable. He is a reminder that yoga is for everyone not just the super skinny. I love this vid and my husband really liked it to and as a rank beginner he was able to follow along pretty easily. I recomend it to anyone just starting and wanting an inspiring experience.

The absolute best Yoga Workout!
Ali MacGraw, brings us an hour with the fabulous yoga instructor, Eric Schiffman. Eric is not for beginners! By no means, if you have not had a back ground in yoga or dance should you do this workout! Stick with Rodney Yee. If you have a background and understand body machinates nothing compares to this workout! What I enjoy about it the most, is the background music, the camera work and of course the instruction from Mr. Schiffman. It is transcending and aligning. I have doing this workout for years and never grow board of it. Every time I engage with it, I find a new strength or weakness in my body. Great yoga workout for those starting or 40+!
A friend of mine had this yoga DVD, I really enjoyed working out with it. So I decided to find one of my own. It is wonderful for those of us just starting out in yoga and is also very good for the 40+ age group. I love working out everyday, it is soothing, none evasive and makes me feel younger each time I work out. It is a great DVD, I recommend it to everyone!
