  • One of those records that stands decades later, a master work in pop music.

I loved this 'record' as a kid... it is loaded with great tracks... Rod Stewart making a huge splash after his many years as a performer. He and his band just drive the whole darned record with their passionate British approach to American R & B... the whole album is a great listen... lively, rockin', couple bluesy ballads... I had not listened to it in it's entirety in several decades... I love it just as much... not jumping around my parents living room thinking I was Rod Stewart... but close.

  • Rod Stewart 'Every picture tells a Story"

I remember the album coming out when I was a kid in the early 70's that I bought the 45's of "Reason to believe" and "Maggie May" (just a kid with a small allowance.) So fast forward to 30 plus years later and this album still kicks butt, Listening on my Yamaha reciver and Klipsch speakers it's truly something to behold right in your own living room, with the raucousness of "Every picture tells a story" and Grit of "I'm losing you" to the provoking "Reason to believe" and "Mandolin wind".. This isn't the Disco Rod, which I admit going through the faze.... but "Every picture tells a story" and it sums up the times all too well, true period music with Teeth in it...

  • Rod the mod
