The mirror works as intended, but both of our observations when using this mirror were, this- you have to focus your eyes to look 'into' the depth of the mirror, to actually see out the back of the car. It takes a little getting used to. The other observation is this, it's harder to judge how close or far the car behind you is due to the illusion of 'objects being smaller' in the mirror. This mirror is better for watching young children in the back seats than it is for watching traffic behind.
