Drive By Truckers is one of the best rock bands you'll ever experience. Their latest effort DECORATION DAY is 15 songs about the choices people make (good or bad) and their repercussions. The resulting album is an ambitious mix of the full-on "three-guitar" rock that the band so prominently displayed on SOUTHERN ROCK OPERA and the more "coutnryish" elements of their earlier a Featuring guest appearances from Muscle Shoals legend Spooner Oldham on the Wurlizer Electric Piano, singer Clay Levertt and fiddles from Centro-Matic's Scott Dambom.

    Decoration Day by Drive-By Truckers

    I rate this just slightly below excellant. I'm a long time DBT fan from N. Alabama. There are only a couple of mediocre tunes on this CD. The rest are great. Sink Hole, My Sweet Annette and the title cut are true masterpiecies of moder southern rock. "Sounds better in the song" holds a special place in my heart like the lady it makes me think of, (Good job, Cooley.) This CD gets stuck in my player for months at a time. This is the second one I've bought. Giving it too my best friend. Pat_the_Hat

    Very enjoyable CD album

    This is a really good album. I like all the songs although some are sad but not too sad that prevents you from listening to it again. The songs tell stories, which is something you don't get much anymore.

    A few incredible songs

    The songs that I liked are some of my all time favorites, like Sink Hole and Decoration Day. These two songs are well worth buying this album. Some of the other songs are pretty good too. Listen to some samples on Tower--if its your kind of music, buy it--you won't be disappointed.
