granted these are just foam but they look awesome when they're on your ceiling. I use Gorilla Glue extra strength in a caulking tube it did not affect the foam or eat through it you have to be careful what you put these up with. to cut them I just used a very sharp steak knife and a straight edge. I actually enjoyed putting these up
