The strap that works the best
This Hofner strap is the strap you need for the Hofner basses with the cantilever neck over the body. If you were to use the strap button on the back of the bass neck, the balance is ff and the bass tilts down. With the Hofner strap, it wraps around and under the cantilever of the neck and better positions the bass in your hands for easier play. Furthermore, it has the vintage "look" of the most famous and photographed Hofner bass with this strap. It probably came with the bass back in the early 60's (like built-in keyboard cases) and maybe why it was used but it is still the best and most efficient. Ok… but needs some adjustment for my body
It fits ok but for my body the strap is a bit too long. I had to make a couple of holes in it. Also, the pad that goes over my shoulder ends up right on top of the strap, so it bunches up a little. But with those adjustments it works better than if I had one of those regular straps that goes to the original front strap thingie (sorry I don’t know the technical knob on the Hofner)
