Flat top shim for flat top seat tubes. OK product.
Thin metal but just what I needed. A reasonably well made product, but grease it well before install. Dissimilar metals between the shim, seatpost and frame will mean regular (grease) maintenance, to avoid the rust due to anode/cathode effect. Also, watch the top profile of your seat tube (on your frame), This shim assumes a flat top to the seat tube. Mine is not flat (slightly rounded top), and the shim sticks out by about 5 cm on the sides. Looks funky, but still works OK. Also, You may need a bolted seat post bolt for most effective cinching. My quick release bolt works OK, but probably will need re-tightening frequently, due to the shim. We'll see. Overall a good product that met my needs.Thin metal but just what I needed.
