Articulating stand itself is fairly good quality and stays in place with the weight of a microscope on it.The 84 mm diameter ring clamp is machined to an internal diameter of 83 mm and this 1 mm difference does not permit standard 84 mm diameter microscope units to fit. Very poor quality control and not compatible with the microscope I have as a result (previously purchased).
