    Deflecto clothes drier filter and heat saver

    Unhappy because the particular one sent to me the filter screen was not attached to the product and now I am trying to get heat resistant glue and attach it myself. Otherwise good product, I have had one for years.

    Good idea badly implemented.

    This dryer vent while a great idea for recycling heat and humidity back into the house, it has these issues: Filter is somewhat difficult to replace back on the unit. The diverting door doesn’t move without jamming. This unit will come apart.

    It does what it should.

    I'm hoping it will save us money this winter dumping a bit of heat and humidity into the home. It works great, but the filter is a bit awkward to remove and replace which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.

    Been using for a month now.

    Somewhat fragile, but works great. The blend door is a little sticky, so if I adjust it I open the screen rather than use the handle. Screen is easy to clean, vertical mounting recommended. Has helped significantly with the heat and adds much needed humidity in the winter. Can smell the fabric softener lol. Not kid or gorilla proof, since it is made of plastic, but cleaned carefully every day and it works cheaper than buying panty hose.

    Deflecto yourself away

    I have an older model where the screen slides in an out of a grooved slot and has lasted over 10 years. This new design with the little tabs is terrible, it was hard to clip the screen off and on and the bottom tabs broke after 3 days. Will be looking for a different inline trap.
