I ordered 5 of these cold steel 97KMS machetes as In my line of work having to knock a branch or two down is necessary time to time. I can say this much. Arrived swiftly, packaged fairly well, all item were in good condition upon examination, however the seller should be aware the description isn't accurate, for me? I'm not so anal but others definitely want older cold steel and this is new age, the item photo and description advertise a made in south africa 1055 but the 5 i received are 65mn.

Great piece of mind
Short version: GET THIS NOW AND USE IT! Long version: During a recent power outage, we lost our washing machine. A power surge blew through not only the power inverter board, but to the main board - frying both. There are few things more frustrating, or "fragrant", than going five weeks with a husband, wife, two dogs and no washing machine. While awaiting parts, I made sure this would not happen again. Did you know that most power surges come from INSIDE the home? Any time your AC, oven, vacuum cleaner, etc. kick on, that immediate power draw sends a surge through the wiring. Additionally, municipal utility power is highly abusive to electronics and motors... voltages can range from 102 Volts to 130 Volts or more, as demand along the line changes. Our critical electronics (like our entertainment system, computer and network equipment) are on pure sine wave UPS battery backups. The peace of mind is worth the cost, just knowing that our expensive investments are as protected as possible. And I don't think I have ever looked forward to doing laundry so much in my life.

Protect Against Electrical Pulses
You need this. It has a 3 minute timer. When the power goes out and comes back on, it waits 3 minutes to reconnect. Why is this important?? I have had numerous times that the power pulsed when the power came back on. This on-off-on-off-on is what fries your electronics, A/C, refrigerator, washer and CPAP machine. This is cheap insurance. Just one month ago we has such an incident and these devices protected everything that was critical to me.You need this. It has a 3 minute timer. Saved my refrigerator and washing machine from hurricane power issues
I bought two of these just before hurricane Irma spread electrical issues throughout Miami. I used one for my refrigerator and one on the washing machine. As power went up and down and surged on and off over a period of 8 days these devices kept the appliances from what could have been disasterous. Be aware and understand how they work - when a surge hits it, it cuts the power to the device to spare it, and waits about 4 minutes as it monitors the electric for any additional spikes. If all is well within that time then it passes power back to the appliance. So in effect the refrigerator stays off for four minutes then comes back on again when it is safe. Works great and as advertised . Anything with a compressor does not like short power outages and they can cause major damage to things like compressors in air conditioners, freezers, and refrigerators . Along with TV's and stereo equipment . This device delays power spikes, sags, and surges with a 3 minute delay allowing the power to stabilize . I own 6 of these ! I have been in the electronics field for 35 years and know what can happen . Great seller too !Works great and as advertised .
