Notes
Following Earle's outstanding WB's debut, '96s I Feel Alright, comes this reissue of his acoustic album released in '95 on the Winter Harvest label. The album found Earle in top form and attracted extensive press raves, earning him a Grammy nomination and a NAIRD award. Train a Comin' contains 9 songs spanning 1974-95, including "Sometimes She Forgets" (a hit for Travis Tritt) and several covers. Roots-music legend Peter Rowan, guitarist Norman Blake and songstress Emmylou Harris contribute musical backing.

  • You can't class Steve Earle's music except to say it's perfe

What, are you kidding? You really need a review of this album? It's Steve Earle, that in itself is perfect, and Steve way back when he was first being paid for the magic he has given us all for these many years. The last of his shows I saw, in 2011, he signed this for me, one of my favorite albums of his. For me, he has never missed a step, even when he was so dope sick he could barely stand up. He gives $500.00 worth of music for a $40.00 ticket. This album has all of the heartfelt joy and angst that makes Steve Earle Steve Earle. Yeah, get it, then get one for the person you love most in the world, for the town library, the church raffle, whatever. Everyone needs to know Steve Earle.

  • Steve Earle and Norman Blake-Heavy country vibes-5 stars!

This is amazing music. Old time sounds updated with virtuosos performances by Steve Earle and the great Norman Blake. Hard to find, only available on CD ,unfortunately. Wish it was available on vinyl! This is REAL country music, not the overproduced pseudo soft rock country you hear everywhere.

  • ONE OF STEVE EARLE 'S BEST!

The first album Steve made after leaving prison, he had walked away from his early Rockabilly image and sound. This is a mostly acoustic, soulful return to his true musical roots . Easily one of Steve Earles' best albums.
