About this product

Product Information

Based on the Cartoon Network's animated series, Super Hero Squad features pint-sized versions of Marvel's comic book heroes and villains, with content aimed at a younger demographic of four- to ten-year-olds. The squad is on a mission to retrieve a series of Infinity Fractals before they can be assembled into a sword with ability-altering powers. Since Dr. Doom and his "Lethal Legion" of cohorts are also trying to recover the Infinity Fractals, you'll have to thwart their progress at every opportunity. Playable heroes and villains include Captain America, Spider-Man, Falcon, Hulk, Iron Man, Juggernaut, Dr. Doom, Wolverine, Silver Surfer, Thing, Thor, and Ms. Marvel. Each character possesses distinct super powers and combo attacks, with the gameplay consisting of punching, kicking, and blasting rivals while traveling across themed environments. Advance through six campaigns by yourself or with a friend in the "Adventure Mode," or engage up to three friends for competitive action in the "Battle Mode."

The Game is everything listing described which was like new CIB it was well packaged in bubble wrap envelope and the sellers communication is great even sent me additional product photos for better viewing and assessment of game but the shipping was the con of this purchase while cheap at $5 it was very slow taking 13 days to arrive other than that 👍.

    Should have been a great game!

    The game has good graphics and good theme. It should have been an amazing game to play with kids because it’s not over violent like most other versions. The problem is with the co op play. The two players don’t stay on same screen which will drive you crazy. I’ve never seen a game do this before so really disappointed.

    Gameplay could be a lot better, but good for fans of the SuperHero Squad

    Everything that's good about this game, you can see on the box. Everything that's not shown on the box (such as gameplay, camera work etc.) is mediocre at best. The worst thing about this game is the two-player mode. The camera only follows the lead character so the 2nd player is left many times off-camera, very annoying. However, not all is bad, as aimed for lower-age players the game is easy enough to play and control even by 7yr-olds and violence is kept to a minimum, so that the younger fans of the series would still like this. Do note anybody over the age of 12 will probably find this game repetitive and boring.

    Excellent Kids Game!

    I would have to say its fun to play and the battle is kid friendly. Yes this does make your kids jump for joy to beat up their favorite villian. Game play very easy for my two 8year olds. The graphics are great! Most levels of play are simple enough for enjoyment but not all just about fighting for you have to have skill of combat and eye to hand guided platform play. Marvel has a great seller here!

    SHS for PS2: Fans only! Everyone else, stay away!

    LIKED: 1) the voice-acting and humour of the TV show is intact and nicely done. DISLIKED: 1) repetitive fights with palette-swapped bad guys, mashing one button or the other. 2) unpleasant sequences that require button sequence memorization. 3) In co-operative mode, the camera follows Player 1, frequently leaving Player 2 completely off the screen for long stretches of time (swarmed by enemies, falling into pits). I can't stress how frustrating this is. Recommendation: Fans of "Super Hero Squad" only.
