    Stratosphere Hot Rods review

    I love this series of books becuase there is not a more thourogh compilation of american cars by decade than this series (1930's-70;s). It covers everything by make and model and year, covers price, options, colors, engines etc. Consider this series of books like an encyclopedia of American cars. It even has photos of concept cars, utility versions (such as cabs ambulances etc) and historical context (vintage ads f the time, home prices of the time etc). I own a Hot rod shop and I do automotive design of custom vintage cars and I use these for reference almost daily. I really love the interior views of the vehicles as well. At roughly $6.00 a book on e-bay vs the orignal price of $20.00 a book how could I pass it up.

    Great information. Exceptional amount of Pics

    I love this entire series - Fabulous 50's, Sizzling 60's, Sensational 70's - can't live without them. Hundreds of quality color pictures of restored cars, and hundreds of pics from the 60's depicting all the cars "back in the day" - pics of dealerships, auto shows, celebrities, automotive leadership, etc. And the information provided on the car models is exceptional. Someone did some serious research, and this book makes me the benefactor of all that work.

    Great photos and interesting commentary

    This book is filled with fascinating and informative photos and the commentary is generally helpful. There is also an intriguing section of miscellaneous information about each year. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the cars of the 1960s.
