Luxoflux invites grown-up players back for another game of "good cop (or) bad cop" in this follow-up to 2003's L.A.-based action-adventure. As in the original True Crime, players take the role of an unorthodox law enforcement officer, and by their actions and in-game choices, determine the character's morality as they play through the story. In True Crime: New York City, the hero is a former gang member named Marcus Reed, who uses his hard-knocks schooling to powerful effect in the gritty underworld of the Big Apple. As in Streets of L.A., New York City missions play out in freely-roamed, GTA3-style environments, stocked with plenty to see and do even when Marcus isn't working towards a specific mission goal. Key characters are voiced by accomplished screen actors, including Christopher Walken, Laurence Fishburne, and Mickey Rourke, with Marcus Reed portrayed by Avery Waddell.<br><br>In addition to the full game and support materials, the "Collector's Edition" of True Crime: New York City includes a map of New York City with mission objectives marked, a DVD featuring trailers, music, interviews, and other "Making Of" of video content, and it comes in a special tin case.

    great open world game

    want to play LCPDFR or LSPDFR but don't have gta or a computer that can handle it, then i suggest look into TRUE CRIME NEW YORK, you play a detective that has to solve a mystery but also can do normal street crime, for what it's worth its a fun game to play and easy to pick up. and you have the whole new york city as your play ground.

    Excellent game

    I love this game i am still playing it. The fun thing about it is that you have a choice to do things so you create your on outcome. Another good thing about it is that its roam free so you could never get tired of this game. Also the cars in this game are awesome. Missions are fun nd story line is also fun. You could choose to accept bribes, plant evidence go up ranks or go down ranks whatever you want to do. Its true there are some glitches like every game but not enough that you cant finish a level or so like the other user said. Buy the collectors editio because one the case is very attractive two the bonus dvd is filled with entertaining stuff!!!

IT HAS SPECIAL INTERVIEWS AND THE MAKING OF. ITS WORTH THE PRICE. IF IT CAME DOWN TO EITHER THIS ONE OR THE REGULAR EDITION I'D PICK THIS ONE IN A HEARTBEAT.
