    Early elementary history done right

    The original American Girl books were so much fun to read! The stories were appropriate for and interested a wide range of ages for both girls and boys. Each set gave a window into a specific period in our history with plenty of authentic details about daily life and events over a year's time. The stories show a likable character growing as she faces challenges and difficult circumstances, but overall the books are upbeat.

    A great way to teach a young lady the value of racial diversity

    For an interesting learning experience, I recommend this classic series of books for any young lady for all it has to offer. The series of books are captivating, a great way to spark interest in historic facts of America. I dare say, the series of books could be a tool that helps build a bridge between a grandmother's and a granddaughter's generational gap. I do not know of any other product that would encourage learning and pride of one's own ethnic diversity, teach positive values of belonging, and the importance family responsibility. Josephina, an American girl is just but one collection of a series of books that includes others, incorporating other timelines such as Addy during the civil war.
