I waited two weeks to receive a special “30th Anniversary Edition” of the Wiz which includes a Bonas CD. This is what was listed! Instead, I received an ordinary DVD - NOT the “Anniversary” edition that was advertised. No CD either. It was not even well packaged. Poor customer service! Slow shipping! WRONG item! I request a REFUND a.s.a.p.

Nice Musical, Love It
My kids love the movie. They watch it all the time while riding in my SUV. They love the music, characters, and theme of The Wiz. I knew that they would love this version of the Oz story. I personally loves some of the songs, Ease On The Road, Slide Me Some Oil, Mean O Lion, and No Bad News by famous artists.

Beware the Bonus CD
This film has always been a work of art, I remember seeing it brand new in 70MM 6 Track Stereo on a huge screen. Versions of this film can still be found at Target for $5.00 but this new remaster is fine. My only minor complaint concerns the bonus CD. I had expected the CD to contain the sound track to the film but it's really only a sampling of 8 songs and doens't even include Lena Horn's fabulous solo! When other studios are packing their musicals with complete CD's (check out Costco for the Rogers and Hammerstein collection) I say to Universal "WTF"?This film has always been a work of art, I remember seeing it brand new in 70MM 6 Track Stereo on a huge screen. I have wanted this video since the time that I knew they were making it in New York City 25 years ago. It has some of the most influential people of the 70's MoTown musical era, and is a cult classic that stands the test of time! The music is original, the scenes are colorful, and the actors are animated...especially Michael Jackson! And, as always, his singing was right on the mark. Dianna makes a beautiful, if not a bit aged, Dorthy. This is an excellent video for someone who wants to share it with the next generation, or just for those who want to take a long forgotten walk down Memory Lane. So, buy this DVD, pop a bowl of popcorn, pop it into the DVD player, and gather the family around the TV set for an old fashioned movie night! And then keep it safe so that your children can pass ... The Wiz
The movie is a upscale of the Wizard of Oz. The character of Dorothy(Diana Ross), the scarecrow(Michael Jackson) one his onlymovice roles. I think he was and superb in the role. It was very believable. The all out cast were very comical. The soundtrack is great. I think everyone young or old show buy it for your library, and it's a masterpiece to any Michael Jackson collector.

My heart soared. Diana Ross glows and Michael Jackson what else can I say but he’s perfect as the sensitive scare crow. The music the dancing and the dreaming is a beautiful time.
