    Good but could be made better

    Guard comes in pieces and has to be assembled. For starters the hole in the bottom is big enough for a squirrel to enter so it needs to be closed .Bailing wire laced across the hole. I also saw where squirrels and or raccoons started pulling on the individual panels bending and moving them. A little bailing wire twisted in a couple of places put an end to that mischief. Other than than it has done its job and stopped all the free hand spinning that was going on. My feeder is on 8 foot legs .I was amazed how quickly they figured out how to get up the legs and get to the feeder but the free food program has stopped.

    Best option but.....

    Raccoons twist this thing into a pretzel. Every time I fill the feeder I have to straiten it back out. Does its job for now, but I can see them eventually destroying it if I leave it as is. Would suggest using some additional safety wire or zip ties.

    Guard

    Guard is essential in areas that i hunt to resist squirrels and racoons. would have preferred a opening on side of guard the can be also closed instead of accession from bottom. The guard is sturdy and has served its purpose so far. I recommend it.

    Easy to use.

    Easy to assemble and attach to the feeder hopper. Only issue I have is that you have to remove the bottom of the guard in order to access the battery/timer compartment. I ordered two of these to keep the deer from robbing the corn using their tongue to get the corn off the spinner plate. I have had no problems since installing these guards.

    Necessary equipment

    Easy to assemble and install. Critters had ripped the cable in two and feeder was always going empty too fast season before. Since installing, corn last longer so it's keeping them out!
