About this product

Product Information

When Friday the 13th premiered in 1980, the film introduced moviegoers to a new kind of cinematic terror - shocking, visceral, graphic and relentless. Spawning ten popular sequels to date, the series has become the most successful horror franchise of all time, and the character of "Jason" an icon known around the world as the first name in evil. Now, uncensored and in their own words, over two hundred alumni of the series recall a quarter-century's worth of behind-the-scenes stories - the struggles, feuds, foibles, controversies and calamities. Fully illustrated with over five hundred never-before-seen photos, rare archival documents and production materials, this is the ultimate oral and visual memoir of the most successful horror franchise in the history of motion pictures.

  • Great Title for a legend movie

My son, UGA (Underground Ground Affiliate) is a famous local rap star here in Detroit and has had a Friday the 13th Concert for a decade here near Crystal Lake in Pontiac Michigan. He had to cease the name of the event and the annual production is now out of production. In his act, his name is Jason and he wore Jason's mask on stage. He loved the book with the interesting comments by actors in the movies as well as the photographs.

  • Memories, Crystal Lake Style!

I wanted to buy this book when it came out, but never gotten around to it until recently, through e-bay. (I still have a clipping announcing it's publishing date!) This is an over sized, fully illustrated, history of "Camp Crystal Lake", ie: Friday the 13th. the book recounts the history of the film/s, from the first to the last, leaving no corpse unturned. Interviews are abundant with casts, writers, directors and producers as well as a photo's on every page. This book is a must for the true "Friday the 13th" Fan.
