Best game ever
This is a fantastic Monkey Island game that may or may not be remastered for modern computers due to Disney's recent intellectual property rights to LucasArts, and Schafer's minimal contribution to this game compared to the previous Monkey Islands. If you understand how to play this game on today's PCs (hint: scummvm), then I highly suggest you purchase it if you're not familiar with this 3rd installment in the series.This is a fantastic Monkey Island game that may or may not be remastered for modern computers due to Disney's recent intellectual property rights to LucasArts, and Schafer's minimal contribution to this game compared to the previous Monkey Islands. Best Monkey Island Game in the Series
I have been a Monkey Island Fan for my entire life... well, okay, i was around 10 when I heard of it, but regardless, it is a fantastic series. My personal favorite is "Curse," simply because it has the best "witty reparte," the most interesting storyline, and a cast a lovely characters, such as Murray the Talking Skeleton Head. Plus I love the caracature-like artistry that is found soley in Monkey Island 3. The voiceovers are great for the time, and it is also the first in the series to even have spoken dialogue. Dominic Armotto is the voice for Guybrush, and is probably my favorite voice actor ever. If I was going to give this game one weakness, it would be it's length. While having two difficutly modes (normal and mega monkey), and perhaps having the most chalenging puzzles, it still ... That being said, I give this game a 5/5. If you don't own it, buy it, whatever the cost! I will say though, that when I bought this copy off of ebay, it did not work properly running on a Windows XP operating system. I have no doubt the disk is fine, but just be forwarned that you may have to get some sort of patch, or buy an older operating system. (I don't know too much about solving problems like that, so there could be other solutions). If you get the chance (and the money), invest into all of the Monkey Island Games. They just do NOT make games this funny any more. (Also by LucasArts is Sam and Max: Freelance Police. Very similar format, histarical, just taking place in the modern crimesolving arena). Hopefully soon we will see the release of Monkey Island 5 (although I think it will be quite some time). So what are you waiting for? BUY THE CURSE OF MONKEY ISLAND.

PERFECT !
This is the best game in all history !!!. I remember when I was 7 and used to play this game and couldn't finish it because I lost it. Nevertheless, the little time I had with the game gave me such an impact that I just couldn't forget it anymore. Now I am almost 20 and bought this. Let me tell you, its the best thing I have ever done in my life ! The game is just as I remembered, fun and difficult, just as the old games used to be. If you like point and click games but want to laugh like crazy, this is the game for you ^^ about the seller: awesome seller ~ everything went really smooth and fast! I wanted this for Christmas and was a bit unsure I would get it because of the short time, but they made it happen !!This is the best game in all history !!!. Excellent Game!
I was a big fan of these type of games when i was younger from and this game is truly a welcome surprise! I admit when this game was released i was moving from PC gaming back to console gaming and i passed this one up but now that i am on a nostalgia kick i bought a copy and even though it was a little tricky to get it to run on Vista it works great and is a blast to play! The storyline is interesting the characters are all fun and the gameplay is smooth.I was a big fan of these type of games when i was younger from and this game is truly a welcome surprise! Can not get to work on Win Vista - DirectX 9.0, bummer!
I bought this game because it is a classic, funny and great game, but upon arrival i popped it in my new HP computer with windows vista Premium (with DirectX 9.0) and the game prompts to the install screen - so far normal. After and almost immediate installation process (seriously less than a second) I tried to play it and it told me i needed to install DirectX on my computer. Tried to install DirectX 5.0 from the disc, but the computer told me i was already DirectX compatible. Tried to play it again and once again I get prompted to the "you need to install DirectX on the computer" warning. So, can't play it and can't properly install it. Great game but i have yet to make it past the installation. Thank you windows vista. If anyone can help me please contact me - ...
