Once again mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent (Christopher Reeve), hiding his identity as Superman, must fight for law and order. This time around, a triumvirate of nasty villains from the planet Krypton break free of their dimensional prison and hightail it to Earth, where they enjoy the same superpowers as Superman. Meanwhile, Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) has discovered that Superman and Clark are the same person, so Superman debates whether to give up his abilities to become a normal man and share his life with Lois.     Superman ME...or simply know your history :-)

    I read the first review and I can see where he is coming from *only* if you think with what we are accustomed to now. We all know it and CGI keeps surprising everybody. That being said, Chistopher Reeve is the man! He played and looked the part without conviction, so that is the first thing going for the flick. Also, think about the fact that they were casting and shooting this movie at the same time they did SUPERMAN (which is why they both seep together like BUTTUH). Also, even if you don't like Chris or Warren or Gene think about all they accomplished w/o the stuff we have today. Every movie has it's flaws so the first review isn't wrong...but really, this is a classic and--truth be told--that first review could apply to SUPERMAN 3 and 4...despite how much I like Richard ...

    I Love you Superman.

    Christopher D'Olier Reeve did a great job in Superman II. Superman II exposes rarely & hardly seen/use super powers and abilities that Superman have. My favorite tv show is Smallville which have the villain Major/General Dru-Zod a.k.a. Zod in it. Superman II and the Superman comics also have the villain Major/General Dru-Zod a.k.a. Zod in it. Superman II is the Best of the 4 Superman movies starring Christopher D'Olier Reeve or at least in my opinion Superman II is the Best of the 4 Superman movies. Superman II is a Must See. I Love you Superman!
