America:A 200 Year Salute by Johnny Cash
First, I must admit to being a Johnny Cash fan. That said, this is a fine collection of patriotic dialogue followed with a relevant song. Cash, the quintessential storyteller, is perfect for the songs showcased on this CD. I had a long play album of this set when it was first released and I literally wore it out. A couple of the songs are somewhat forgettable, but as a collection, this CD is golden. I would have bought it solely to hear "Mr. Garfield's Been Shot Down" . Excellent Johnny Cash Tribute to the U.S.A.
I love the USA and Johnny Cash was one of the great "real" country western singers ever to walk this earth. So when I heard he did this tribute to the good old USA it was a double pleasure for me to own it. Great CD.
