    Good Quality Product

    It took a bit to figure out how this attached. Make sure you remove the plastic spacer after removing the mounting bolts and slip the docking piece into the slot left by the spacer. There were no instructions so I, too, initially thought the bolts were too short. I saw several videos of guys putting these on and they all attached on the outside. This one doesn't. Fits perfectly on my 17 Road King, looks great, chrome finish is even and smooth and it's very sturdy when attached. Nice, high-quality product.
