EA DICE's flagship military combat series continues with Battlefield 3, a first-person shooter with destructible environments, large-scale maps, controllable vehicles, and online support for up to 24 simultaneous players. The single-player campaign, which the publisher estimates to be 12 hours in length, features multiple playable characters in a structure similar to Activision's Call of Duty franchise.<br><br>In a storyline set in 2014, you'll play as a Russian agent sent to stop a terrorist attack in Paris, a Marine corporal in the Tehran desert, and as others in missions set in Sarajevo, New York, Wake Island, Oman, and Sulaymaniyah. The Frostbite physics engine introduced in the Battlefield: Bad Company spin-off series has been enhanced, now allowing for the complete destruction of buildings and scenery objects as well as vision blurring or blinding effects. Soldiers can also shoot from the prone position.<br><br>The multiplayer game features a choice of team-based options. Conquest has your side trying to claim and hold different areas of the battlefield, while rush involves one team trying to quickly advance across a map as the other team defends. Team deathmatch is also included, and there are four available classes in the game: assault, support, recon, and engineer. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 titles are designed to run at 30 frames per second at 720p resolution.

Came packed well and was in good condition considering it has been about 13 years since this game released and the PS3 has been out of the mainstream since about 2013. Good job.

    Ok, I gunned half through a few hours of single player simply for the trophies and then dropped it for a few hours into the MP end of stuff. This is an early rummage of thoughts to give some people on the fence an idea of what they are getting into. Even most of the PC reviews out there have been pretty vague. I haven't cleared this 100% for the Platinum or put in 100 hours of ranking. But I have been playing Battlefield games for awhile so some early thoughts after a few hours. First off -- 200+ meg update before you can play then you're off to the races. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was similar to Crysis, in that you could navigate the landscape the way you wanted, within an admittedly small area. Wooden huts and hideouts were for the destroying if you were so inclined. In Battlefield 3, ...

    Good game 4 multiplayer. The only thing I didn't like about the game is that it uses alot of vulgar language. Even in multiplayer. But I switched the speech 2 FRENCH and then I couldn't understand when they were using cus words. Great , great soundeffects though, better than COD MW3. But if you want very fast pace hand 2 hand combat COD MW3 is better. BF3 is more like a real life battle though. I like both games and play both, it just depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

    Awesome product for Multiplayer! Single Player could be better!

    I really enjoyed playing this game by Dice and EA. I did have a few problems though. The multiplayer was absolutely spectacular, and thoroughly addictive! If you plan on only buying this game for the single player, don't do it. Truthfully, the single player had so much potential and while it isn't terrible, it wasn't very good either. I would only buy this game if you have an internet connection because if not, its a bit like eating a banana peel, and not the banana!

    Good graphics, easy to learn how to play, short story in campaign

    This game has very nice features such as its graphics, playability. I was somewhat surprised by the fact that its campaign game in which you complete episodes is very short. I finished the game in 3 days. But I guess people buy this game to play online in multiplayer mode.
