    I had an allergic reaction to this product.

    I had a reaction to this product. After I had taken one gel cap a day for a week, I found my lower lip had swollen. The swelling occurred quickly, over maybe 30 minutes. After waiting a short while for this to stop, I took an antihistamine, generic zyrtec, I think. That medicine caused the swelling to subside, and it was gone in about an hour. I have never had a similar reaction to anything. I am not allergic to shellfish, e.g. I have abandoned these fish oil gel caps. I had bought them to alleviate joint pain, and I did notice a very slight positive effect on that. Contrary to other reviews, this product does leave a fishy aftertaste.
