    While trite - this is truly a LIFE CHANGING book

    "I originally heard about this book through an off-hand comment. I couldn't be happier that I bought the book. This book is the original "self-help" book. It talks about your self-image and how to improve it. It also addresses how you can use your subconscious mind to assist you in any endeavor. However, the drawback is that the subconscious has two modes: an automatic failure mechanism and an automatic success mechanism. You will activate either mechanism through how you think about yourself. If the goal fits your self-image - then the automatic success mechanism is enlisted to help you. If the dream doesn't fit your self-image, then the automatic failure mechanism is invoked. There are numerous examples of exercises you can undertake to apply the knowledge in this book.     The New Psycho Cybernetics

    I was told by an instructor at a police update class that this was a good book for officer tactical thinking in the field. I was disappointed with the book in that regard and did NOT get much out of it as far as a book on officer safety.
