The Virtua Fighter franchise makes its much-awaited comeback, this time on the Dreamcast home console. Virtua Fighter 3tb takes advantage of what Sega's existing third installment for the Arcade version, and adds new features to it. High-resolution graphics and two new characters are just the tip of the iceberg. Akira Yuki is back along with Pai Chan, Jacky Bryant, Wolf Hawkfield, Jeffry McWild, and the rest of the gang. There are dozens of moves for each fighter including recovery, evasion, blocking, and the vast array of punch, jump, and kick combos. <br><br>Fight in 13 3D stages that change in elevation and position, affecting game strategy. Multiple camera angles include a first-person perspective that puts you face-to-face with your opponents. The fighting engine is similar to the original Virtua Fighter so fans of the series can get right into the game, yet it's simple enough for newcomers. Attention to detail of the characters has been increased with motion-captured movements, trailing effects, rippling clothes, and even eyes that close, blink, and track where the opponent is!<br><br>The advanced Training Mode lets you practice and increase your skills by instructing your computer opponent to do exactly what you want. Team Battle Mode lets you pit three fighters on a team against another set of opponents in a tournament. A history feature is included too that contains a video entailing the making of the game from the original Virtua Fighter to this version. Also, records can be stored and viewed using the VMU.

    Decent fighter for your dreamcast.

    I'm new to virtua fighter. Love fighting games, and always been interested to actually own a vf game. Instead of just emulating it or smth. Good graphics. Gameplay is smth to get used to. But it has a nice flow to it. The varied stages and terrain are smth I wish virtua fighter continued to do. I'll say that it's not as feature rich as tekken 3. Only having a decent training mode. Arcade and vs modes for regular and team battle. Music is also decent. Maybe not as good as other vf games. But it has bangers. Overall a decent game to have. It doesn't go for much either. Good luck trying to convince your fg friends to play this lol. I will say that vf4 evo might be the better package as a whole. But if you have a dreamcast this isn't a bad addition to your library.

    Virtua Fighter is my favorite fighting game series. Virtua Fighter 3tb is not the best the series has to offer, but its still a solid game, with some interesting gimmiks that set it apart from other games in the series.

    If you loved Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn. This is your game !

    I remember playing virtua fighter 2 on Sega Saturn. This game is probably the best sequel to any fighting game I have ever played. It builds on the second installment bringing old elements into the third installment, making any virtue fighter 2 fan feel right at home. It offers superior graphics for its time. The Game play is very smooth and, very reminiscence of virtue fighter 2 only virtue fighter 3 seems perfected. All of the old characters are back and they all offer most of their old moves and they even say the same quotes at the end of the fight . However team battle is not very good. It's just like virtue fighter 2 as in having to wait for load times in between each characters fight. It can get to be boring. ANd you can't tag like in dead or alive. All in all it's a must own for any ...

    Good but tough.

    This game is harder than I expected every fight is like a boss fight this is the only virtua fighter game with the sumo wrestler character he was in a downloadable update of 5 but never got that so this is the only way I can play as him.
