    Sony dvp cx860

    Brought two ,one transform dead other carousel keep looking for cd play, it does play dvd and cd there is no Hdmi plug , Rca red , green ,blue stereo ,hold 301 cd or DVDs this old school , so may not play newer DVDs

    I would recommend buying a much newer unit that can play newer disks. That

    I have 4 of these and about 12 other brand, horizontal single and multi disk players. (Used in my vacation rentals) This DVD player would be top of the line in 2001 when it was released. Now (2013) things have changed. Sure it still works great on my old (up to year 2003) DVD disks. That is providing my old disks do not have any scratches. That is because this vertical disk position player (all 4 of them) is way more sensitive to scratches than my horizontal players. Seriously, many disks will skip in this player, even after performing a re-align of the laser but they play just fine in all the other players. Still an auto player is hard to find these days. On the other hand, this player will not auto play most new DVD’s. Actually it will not even play some of today’s DVD’s at all. I am not ...

    Sturdy Workhorse DVD Changer With Unique Features

    We purchased this sturdy DVD changer new well over a decade ago thinking it would last forever and we would never come close to filling it. Well, we were wrong about last part. Some of the perceived shortfalls of this unit are just due to its pre-HD age: HDMI?, not even invented yet. Upscaling?, to what, a CRT? Blu-Ray?, hah, local Blockbuster stores only rented VHS tapes when this guy was designed. But Sony did pack this player with then state-of-the art component video and digital outputs (in addition to dual composite and S-Video outputs.) Hooking it up to any modern AV/HT system should be a snap. If you have a large collection of old-fashioned DVDs, this unit can still provide one-touch access to all of them through an intuitive Disc Explorer feature. Our DVD collection has ...
