Product Information

This sequel to the popular NBA Jam doubles the number of NBA players and secret characters, so you can now make substitutions after every quarter. Nine new earth-shattering dunks have been added to the lineup and a battery will save your records, ranking and winning percentage against the 27 featured NBA teams. Perhaps the biggest additions are the Hot Spots option, which places random circles on the court with different point values, and Power-Up Icons, which will temporarily affect a player's abilities. Otherwise, it's the same two-on-two dunk fest as the original.<br><br>For those unfamiliar with NBA Jam, the action is played from a horizontal view of the court as you control one player on offense. The object is to score as many points as you can while trying to prevent the other team from doing the same. Controls on offense consist of a passing, shooting, and turbo button, while defense replaces the shooting button with a jump. By pressing the turbo button, players can not only move faster, but perform special moves such as acrobatic dunks or gravity defying jumps.

awesome classic that I have missed over the years, so I just had to buy it again, and got it at a super great price..nba jam t.e. was better (i.m.o.) than the original due to all the extra bonus features that steps the game up in such a great way. HE'S ON FIRE! The BEST basketball game of its time!
I used to go to the arcade everyday to play this game. I would pump quarter after quarter into the arcade machine just to play the 2nd half! Granted this was back when games were just a quarter to play, and Mortal Kombat 2 was in the cabinet right next to the NBA Jam machine, I just couldn't get enough of it. Famous lines such as "He's warming up" & "He's on fire!" will stick in your head throughout the rest of your gaming lives. I have never had so much fun playing basketball, whether it was against the computer or a real person. I practiced this game for a competition that Blockbuster had during the mid-90s, and I practically mastered it. This is a very fun game, and if you are looking for an inexpensive sports game for an older system, this is probably the best one you can pick up. ... Prior to this series, there was Double Dribble, but this series blew that one off the face of the gaming map! The main difference between this game and its predecessor is the ability to create and save a play record! There are also minor tweaks that the game developers incorporated, but it is essentially just the same game. If you want a good laugh, choose the Rookies and when you start your game, see how the announcer introduces your team :D This alone is worth picking up the game!

This game combines traditional basketball: with some of the silly penalties (like fouls) removed, and a dunk contest with every player capable of creative and stylish jams... NBA Jam allows for not only one, but up to four players if able. This game provides a broad spectrum of gameplay and hours of entertainment, I encourage anyone who has the proper gaming platform to buy this game and roll on the floor laughing at the dunks, oh did I mention cool character and cheat codes too!NBA Jam is a true gaming classic for everyone. Awsome Game
Bring back all memories when i was a kid and play this game, love the "boom shakalaka" and "is on fire!!" Sounds, after +20 years still working thats one of the most things i like about cartridge games
