    It worked for the RDR VX555

    My old remote went bad so I ordered this replacement. Worked fine out of the box. I run the DVD/VHS player (RDR VX555) only and it was advertised as replacement for the remote that came with the DVD/VHS. Buttons are in different places than the original but I have no issues. I have not used this with the VHS player so cannot comment on those functions

    Dude wasted my effing money and my time . Thanks for nothing !.

    This so-called 'universal" remote is worthless ! It doesn't resemble the original remote in the slightest . The instructions for the original remote don't work for the actual remote this doofus sent me . Furthermore , it has many more buttons than the one that originally came with the vhs/dvd recorder.

    The lettering indicating which buttons do which functions are so tiny, that this old guy has a hard time reading them.
