About this product

Product Information

In the year 2140, intergalactic flight paths have been taken over by alien forces, effectively crippling the Federation's commerce and food supply. As per the Intergalactic Counsel's ruling, disputes of this type must be settled by duels to the death. As Barrett Jade, the Federation's greatest warrior, you must battle nine different aliens. Operating a land-based, artificially intelligent, dynamic composition A-7 Trinity Rote Cyborg, you are equipped with machine guns, missiles, laser guns, lob grenades, skimmers, grenades, energy rings, slomo clouds, lob mines, and homin' rockets. Between rounds you can buy extra ammunition from Dr. Thrag's Weapons Shop. You earn money by defeating the aliens and during qualifying bonus rounds, which are called Holographic Targeting Simulators.

The basic action in this game is somewhat similar to that of most 16-bit, first-person shooters. You guide a gun sight around the play field, firing your assortment of weapons. The major differences between this game and most others of its type are the strategies involved and the fact that you battle one powerful enemy at a time, as opposed to legions of smaller, more vulnerable enemies. Certain weapons are ineffective on certain aliens, and you must go to great lengths to conserve your ammunition. Also, the weapons dealer sometimes runs certain types of ammunition on sale. You've got to decide whether he's trying to get you to waste your money, or if you are getting value for you dollar.

Item was originally priced a bit higher than it should have been ( most likely due to how volatile and quickly changing the market is, to be fair) , contacted them and asked if there were any ways to negotiate, they went and verified the pricings, gave an extremely fair appraisal of the item's value, still offered to keep the shipping included in the dropped down price and shipped it fast and well packaged.Completely will be doing business with them again. High recommend.

Product as described, fast shipping. Great seller. Seller was asking a higher price but agreed to a lower one due to missing manual which was awesome. Will buy again if the time comes

  • ULTIMATE ROBOT DRAGON BATTLE SUPER HAPPY FUN TIME, GO!

A definite hidden gem for the Genesis with a genre all it's own. Dismember your tough monster opponents limb by limb while keeping a close eye on your health and ammo. Buy new weapons to exploit your enemy combatants weakness. I grew up with game and still haven't beaten it to this day, so recently I picked up a copy. It's still really tough. The graphics are pretty good for an early release Genesis title and the game takes place in something of a mixture between D&D and Fallout with crunchy classic Genesis tunes. Death Duel is also fairly violent, where the main object is to dismember your opponent limb-by-limb in order to defeat them. Admittedly many of your opponents are dragons and robots, but that just makes this game that much more metal. Beware though, DD is tough. Like ...
