In this unique and at times shocking reality show, pop-princess Britney Spears (and then-boyfriend Kevin Federline) proudly show off the kind of novice home-video footage most people would keep secretly hidden under lock and key. UPN jumped at the chance to purchase this self-made record of the chain-smoking, hotel-hopping couple's courtship and relationship up until their 2004 nuptials, editing the material into the 5 individual episodes seen here. Those familiar with Spears's sexy and calculated onstage and music-video personality may be surprised by the unglamorous backstage Britney revealed here. Armed with a mini-cam, Britney records the behind-the-scenes antics of her Onyx Hotel Tour (and her growing relationship with unemployed backup dancer Federline) with the wide-eyed eagerness of a (sometimes drunk) child. We learn a lot about Britney from the show, and less about Kevin, who retains a mysterious silence throughout. Frequently urging Britney to put the camera away, Kevin responds to her questions about love with vague answers like "Love is.....love". In between making piggy faces for the camera, discussing her sex life with her entourage, and following Kevin into the shower with the camera, Britney rehearses, has her hair done, performs, and works out. This exhibitionism is intercut with more recent footage of an older and wiser Britney and Kevin reflecting on the early days of their union. Only for a true Britney fan.
My daughter and I wanted this DVD expecting it to be kind of like "The Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica". It is far from it, it is not very good, someone gave Britney a camera to entertain herself while on the road, she spends alot of time talking to it herself, of course with the camera pointing straight at her nose (don't think she realized you can flip the screen and see yourself), and chasing her road crew around asking them questions about sex and marriage. I have to admit it is a little better once Kevin comes into the picture, but not much. A PERFECT DVD FIT 4 ANY BRITNEY FAN!
This dvd rocks! I absolutely loved it! It had exactly what i wanted! I just love how this dvd gives fans a chance to see an in-depth behind the scenes look in the life os Britney Spears (circa 2005). The special features and bonus cd that come with the dvd make it even better! I've been looking for this dvd all over the place for a long time know and thought I would never find it...until know! This dvd is a must have for any Britney Spears fan!This dvd rocks! I absolutely loved it! It had exactly what i wanted! I can't believe that Britney's team let her put this out there! It really shows her in a bad light and makes her come off pretty trashy! With that said, I loved every minute of it!! So hilarious seeing the "real Britney." Lots of people said they were bored out of their minds by this but I thought it was pretty interesting seeing all the behind the scenes stuff and how Britney and Kevin's relationship really went down! I've always thought he was a bit of a loser but I have to admit, they are pretty cute together and seemed to make a pretty good couple!I can't believe that Britney's team let her put this out there! It was okay, not the best TV series. I bought the product because I like Britney Spears and I was curious to see what her and Kevin's relationship was like. Their relationship was mostly sexual to begin with and had she looked at these 'home videos' prior to marrying him then I think she would not have married him. It's obvious he was with her for the money and the sex. I'm so glad they are not together anymore.It was okay, not the best TV series.
