Simply the best world series ever! start to finish
even if you aren't a fan of the MN Twins, or baseball for that matter, the storyline is fabulous. both teams in last place last year both in the world series the next year and somebody has to win. I am a twins fan who got to attend games 1 & 6 and it was an experience I will NEVER FORGET. Game 6 highlighted by a game saving catch by all star and now hall of famer, kirby puckett, with the bases loaded gave the twins 1 more chance. in extra innings he did it again. a 3 run homer that rocked the dome making thousands of fans spill beer over each other!! Game 7: greatest pitching performance ever by a pitcher. Don Larsen's perfect game in the world series for the yanks has nothing on MN born JACK MORRIS. Gotta love the game when it was like this. Thanks for checking out my review. A proud moment in Minnesota history
Every Minnesota Twins fan should own this DVD collection. Every moment of the 1991 World Series, Games 1 through 7, commercial-free. The Twins went from the worst record in baseball in 1990, to World Champions in 1991. Hall-Of-Famer Kirby Puckett's game 6 heroics are here. As is, Jack Morris' masterful pitching performance in Game 7. The Atlanta Braves were a very, very good team who competed and played as hard as they could throughout the Series. Many people believe this was the most exciting World Series ever. I agree. But when it was played, I remember the games being nail-biting, stress-filled affairs. The teams were that closely matched. Best world series in the 20th century!
So far all the disks are playing ok- a little trouble with the alternate audio- but it is to be expected. I have waited a long time to get this series it is one of the best!
