Product Information

Based on the high-spirited manual by Andrea J. Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz, the Wii edition of The Daring Game for Girls is an action-adventure game, full of activities and information intended to entertain and enlighten girl gamers. Players choose one of several pre-designed girl characters, of a range of ethnicities and appearances, to represent them in the adventure. Embracing girlhood but avoiding becoming too "girly," activities involve games such as basketball, freeze-tag, and double Dutch jump roping, as well as more practical tasks, such as wilderness exploration and campfire building. The game also challenges players with pop quizzes, about the activities they've mastered and heroic women in history. The ultimate goal is to get ready for a grand expedition, to the heights of Mount McKinley, through the dangerous Amazon jungles, or on safari in Africa. To prepare, players take on missions around the neighborhood, in the schoolyard, and at a local campground. By competing in sports and games, completing virtual crafts and projects, and accomplishing tasks around the house and in the garden, the player's character acquires pieces of the "Essential Gear" she will need for her great expedition, and earns "Daring Girl Badges" in six categories that signify her adventuresome spirit.

    Wii Daring Game for Girls

    I bought this game for my granddaughters, but decided to try it out first. This games is definitely geared for girls, but anyone could play. It has multiple levels of play and keeps your attention.almost to the point of being addictive. Some of the required tests of skill are not easy. This game would be ideal for girls 10 and up. It requires a lot of reading as well. I'm keeping this game for myself and buying another one for my granddaughters.

    Bought the game because I have seen it other places and thought my child would like it...she does and it was a great price.

    Not a great game, but OK for the price I paid used.

    Not very interesting and graphics are a bit disorienting. Makes you feel queasy as you move around the screen.

    The Daring Game for Girls (Wii, 2010)

    I bought this for my young niece because she loves the WII. My sister tells me that she loves the different characters and making them act.
