About this product

Product Information

Majestic Chess attempts to make learning chess a fun experience with an adventure mode as well as more traditional chess gameplay. In the story mode, players take command of a King and travel around a map to recruit other chess pieces. The goal: recruiting an entire set so that the battle against the invading King's army can be won. To successfully recruit other pieces, players must pass tests, complete quests, and earn gold. Players can also opt to play normal games of chess against a computer or user. Post-game analysis allows players to learn where things went wrong during a game and plan more successful strategies.

    Hoyle's Majestic Chess

    If you want to learn how to play chess, this is the tool for you. Besides being able to play at any level , the adventure section offers excellent tutorials and challenges. The graphics are outstanding. The story lines provide interesting background as you learn the ins and outs of chess. Withen days you will see your comprehension and ability grow. I highly recommend this product for young people who never played chess before. I was so impressed with it, I purchased another one and donated to the El Cajon Chess Club at the library. 100% Sincerly, historymajorrhg

    Great program ... locks up Windows XP occasionally

    This is my second copy. I thought the first might have been damaged somehow. I paid for both copies, but the beast locks up my computer after a couple of sessions. Otherwise it is an absolutely wonderful chess game program.
