Book was in Good condition, as stated, and shipping was very good and delivered on time by the date specified. Had a slightly musty smell to it, but condition was decent. Would deal with this seller again.

Item conservatively graded and in as good a condition as any of the six volumes in the series that I recently purchased. It was also the most affordable. Very, very minimal losses to the dust jacket is it's only condition issue. The Brodart book jacket cover also gave me the ordering information I needed to protect my other volumes. Shipped securely and promptly. Very pleased with the transaction. A+++ seller!!!

  • Liked the story, styling could be better.

I am somewhat biased towards the MTG series books, as I am a big fan of them. I mostly bought this book because I liked the Ravnica block, and wondered what the story was behind it, and to no surprise, the story was fantastic. The authors writing style was... questionable, as I felt that that names were used more often than needed, providing unnecessary emphasis to the character with repatition upon repetition. This may be due to other reasons unknown to me, and in general the book was a good read, sparking my interest into the next book of the three part series. Re-cap; The book was great (especially if you like the MTG series), yet it may seem repetitive. 8.7/10.

  • Ravnica: City of Guilds

frequent use of deus ex machina and "after the fact" descriptions of tools, objects, people, places, and events. despite that, the book opens and closes nicely without needing the other 2 books in the set, and also is a very necessary read to understand the world it's set in if you're a M:TG fan. Otherwise, a good pass-the-time read, with its fair share of typos and fragment sentences. Even so, definitely easy to read and understand, although with the plot twists and graphic nature not necessarily good for a younger audience, depending on how you view such things. A good book, and a great buy at a great price.

  • Ravnica

I bought this out of curiosity, because I enjoy the card game. True eye candy Sci-Fi. Few redeeming qualities in the writing, but does provide an entertaining distraction. Though it is part of a series, each novel can be read as a stand alone, similar to a happy meal toy that is part of something bigger. The characters in this are better developed than in some; but, like the card game, all are disposable.
