    Brustad’s book is a very good book to use to familiarize a student to the sounds of Arabic.

    learning arabic

    This guide is what i needed. You are able to HEAR each letter being said. I am pleased that you can select any letter to hear AND see how to pronounce the sound of the letters. Having it on dvd format is great. To go to bookstores and have a choice of books but no source of sound was a challenge. You go at your pace and are encouraged to practice, practice, practice. I must say you have to be dedicated to learn as the lessons are easy to follow. I am able to bring the dvd with me to play and practice wherever i am. Its a tool to use to start learning and build upon the lessons.
