Runewars core box set. lots of minis for price
Purchased mainly for the minis. Forty individual plastic figures in the box. Not quite resin quality, but snap together and ready to go without glueing. Not super detailed but good clean lines, no flash. Skeleton warriors in uncommon poses, plus one on a giant maggot. Good stuff. Human soldiers will make good guardsmen or rank and file. Plus a battle golem, a wight lord, and some sort of magic assassion. Apparently there is a complete game included as well. Looks like game (and minis) are well supported. I have not tried the game yet. Good choice to flesh out your minis for D+D, Pathfinder, or similar fantasy RPG.Purchased mainly for the minis. Forty individual plastic figures in the box. Great Price for pretty good models and for getting into the game!
Mostly bought these for the miniatures, the game itself is pretty nice and with the right expansions has a ton of diversity! The miniatures themselves are of good quality, I did have to use glue on some of the skeletons, and be careful with storage as the spears on some of my soldiers now resemble much closer to lightning bolts than javelins/spears! But the models themselves are durable and VERY flexible. I can grab one of them, throw it at the wall with medium-high strength and have them receive 0 noticeable damage. The except might be the skeleton with a bow, but we're talking about a bow that at places (such as the arrow) has at most 1.5 mm of thickness, so these is exceptional all things considered! Planning on buying a few more once I have the money, mostly for the skeletons, but ... Runewars - great looking miniatures
The actual game itself is pretty basic. Create your customized army & then go head to head for 8 rounds. Whomever inflicts the most damage to their opponent (or meets their objective first) is the victor. Runewars has some really nice miniatures that will work well in other miniature based games, like Dungeons & Dragons, which is why I bought this game.
